Senior Tax Manager

Tax Managers provide both leadership and supervision to Staff, Senior, and Supervisors and manage various tax engagements. They provide detailed analysis of findings and coordinate all analytical, technical and research tasks. Managers work with clients and Partners in the areas of taxation and tax consultation.

 

Responsibilities

 

§  Manage a diverse base of clients by communicating with partners and staff regarding expectations, status of engagements, and other matters as needed.

§  Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards.

§  Review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns prepared by staff and senior accountants.

§  Consult with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and special projects

§  Research complex tax issues for a wide range of clients and industries

§  Train, mentor, and supervise staff and senior accountants

§  Participate in staff evaluations and personnel decisions

 

Qualifications

 

§  10 or more years in public accounting with emphasis on taxation

§  CPA and a BS/BA in Accounting Masters Degree in Taxation a plus

§  Experience in Corporate, S-Corp. and Partnership returns.

§  Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

§  Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax laws required

§  Outstanding written and verbal communication

§  Demonstrated decision making skills, self starter, ability to work independently, ability to meet time constraints and deadlines, and willingness to lead

§  CCH or other tax software experience

Senior Audit Manager

 

Audit Mangers provide both leadership and supervision to Staff, Senior, and Supervisors and manage external and internal audit engagements. They provide detailed analysis of findings and coordinate all analytical, technical and research tasks. Managers work with clients and Partners in the areas of risk assessment, audit plan programs and internal audit reports.

 

Responsibilities

 

§  The Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Audit Team on various engagements

§  Execute the planning and coordinating of client engagements

§  Work closely with tax department

§  Review footnotes, testing, and assessing procedures

§  Train, mentor, and supervise staff and senior accountants

§  Participate in staff evaluations and personnel decisions

§  Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards

 

Qualifications

 

§  10 or more years in public accounting with emphasis on attestation

§  CPA and a BS/BA in Accounting Masters Degree in Accounting a plus

§  Advanced knowledge of GAAP & GAAS

§  Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

§  Outstanding written and verbal communication

§  Demonstrated decision making skills, self starter, ability to work independently, ability to meet time constraints and deadlines, and willingness to lead

§  CCH or other tax software experience
